Choose the correct Black Cat family
Revolution RV is its own tooth-and-adapter system. RVJ is a separate hammerless offering for supported J-style applications. A Black Cat brand name on a replacement tooth does not make it a Revolution RV tooth. Use the part marking and the installed adapter to narrow the selection.
Choose the tooth profile after confirming fit
Choose a profile for the material after confirming fit. General-purpose or long points suit many everyday digging jobs; penetration profiles concentrate force, while heavier abrasion profiles provide more wear material. Availability depends on the confirmed size and system. A wider or sharper tip does not change the adapter interface.
What to send for a fitment check
- All tooth and adapter numbers, including letters and suffixes.
- Clear photos of the whole bucket, tooth from the side and above, rear pocket, and retaining hardware.
- Machine make and model, bucket make when known, and any previous bucket modifications.
- Quantity needed, working material, and whether teeth, adapters or retention hardware are being replaced.
